Job summary

Robinson College Cambridge is seeking a professional Porter to work nights in the Porters’ Lodge. You will be the first point of contact for students, Fellows, staff, conference delegates, guests and visitors, delivering a welcoming front‑of‑house service and maintaining safety and security.

The role starts with night shifts and a 4 on 4 off pattern (four 12‑hour nights followed by four days off). The candidate should be flexible for ad hoc shifts and, in the longer term, the ability to swap to

We are seeking a professional, customer‑focused and reliable Porter to work nights in our Porters’ Lodge team. As the first point of contact for students, Fellows, staff, conference delegates, guests and visitors, you will play a vital role in providing a welcoming front‑of‑house service while ensuring the safety, security and smooth operation of the College.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be happy to work solely nights initially, ideally with flexibility to cover ad hoc additional shifts, and in the longer term the ability to swap to the standard 2‑days 2‑nights pattern would be helpful.
