Job summary

Clarke Transport at Sto Ltd in Leigh is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to oversee depot operations on a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend work. The role carries 48 hours per week and a salary of £41,865 per year, with weekly pay every Thursday.

You will support planning, vehicle and driver allocations, and day-to-day operational control at the Leigh depot. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, a focus on safety and efficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control depot operations to meet service levels and budget.
• Assist with managing the traffic desk, vehicles and daily resource requirements.
• Resolve escalated driver, transport and customer service issues promptly and professionally.
• Monitor costs, identify waste and improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare accurate reports and spreadsheets for customers and internal departments.
• Ensure compliance with FORS, HSE, transport legislation and procedures.
