Job summary

DPD UK is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead our night operations at the Preston depot. You will manage a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient unloading, sorting and adherence to KPIs while maintaining safety and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast paced operation with direct people management accountability.
• Strong communication to inspire and lead a team.
• Good decision making, problem solving and time management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage a night team of warehouse operatives to unload and sort parcels efficiently.
• Ensure KPI targets like CAD %, throughput, saturations and parcels per hour are met.
• Maintain health, safety, productivity and cost targets.
• Arrange additional staffing at short notice when needed.
