Job summary

One YMCA Group is seeking an Out of Hours Manager to lead overnight housing services across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire. The role requires regular on-site presence and a 4-on/4-off night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

You will supervise night staff, manage crisis responses, and ensure seamless handovers between shifts while upholding high service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading nights or overnight services.
• Ability to supervise and support night staff across sites.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and recording/escalation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of overnight housing services between 19:00 and 07:00.
• Manage night operations across multiple sites, ensuring consistent support.
• Supervise and support night staff, maintaining staffing levels and coordinating nightly tasks.
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Out of Hours, ensuring timely recording, referral, and escalation of concerns.
• Ensure smooth handovers between shifts and maintain communication with day teams.
• Respond to emergencies and contribute to crisis management and service development.
• Promote continuous improvement and uphold service standards during out-of-hours.
