Job summary

Kilworthhouse in the United Kingdom is seeking a Night Manager to oversee night operations, managing setting, cleaning of conference rooms, private dinners and weddings to agreed standards, and ensuring hotel security and guest comfort.

You will lead wake-up calls, 24-hour room service and reception duties, and assist with luggage. The role includes recruiting and training staff, monitoring rotas, maintaining hygiene, and supporting departmental budgets.

Responsibilities

• To manage setting, clearing and cleaning of all conference rooms to agreed standard (moving furniture in and out of the room).
• To manage setting of private dinners and weddings to agreed standard (moving furniture in and out of the room).
• Ensure security of hotel is maintained throughout the night (completing walk rounds).
• Cleanliness of hotel is of the highest standard at all times (general tidying, hovering, dusting etc).
• Looking after delegates and all guests within our hotel.
• Present a welcoming impression to all our guests.
• Providing 24 hour room service (preparing food, delivering and clearing room service trays).
• Providing 24 hour Reception Duties (checking in, out, assistance with luggage etc).
• Ensuring wake-up calls and newspapers are delivered on time.
• To recruit, train and develop departmental staff.
• Assist the Night Manager in completing rota and monitoring timesheets.
• To ensure all equipment within your section is maintained and in a clean working condition.
• To report faulty equipment to Sous Chef / Head Chef.
• To input into the compilation of and work within the agreed departmental budget.
• To maintain hygiene standards in areas of responsibility.
• To control and manage to an agreed budget.
• To check departmental rotas in line with business.
• Recruit, select and train direct reports and maintain individual training records.
• Support other departmental training as required.
• Provide opportunities for personal and team development.
• Fire evacuation procedures - statutory obligations in line with company policies.
• Interact with other members of Management Team and support where appropriate.
• To act as a main point of contact for any customer complaints and ensure correct handling
