Job summary

Mercure Tunbridge Wells is seeking a dedicated Night Porter to safeguard guests and staff during night hours and assist with early breakfast preparation. You will conduct essential security and fire safety checks while engaging with guests to resolve issues professionally.

The role spans across night-time operations, including supporting food & beverage, maintenance and other departments. You’ll join a team focused on delivering a first-class stay and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail to keep all areas clean and presentable.
• Strong communication to interact with guests and staff and report issues.
• Customer service to ensure a pleasant stay and handle requests or complaints.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including night-time hours.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older and comfortable with night shifts and commuting to the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of guests, staff and hotel at night.
• Perform a minimum of two security checks at regular intervals with emphasis on security and fire safety.
• Assist with breakfast preparation for 6am and liaise with guests and residents to resolve issues politely.
• Support night-time operations across food & beverage, maintenance and other departments as needed.
• Deliver first-class customer service and maintain exemplary teamwork across all hotel areas.
