Job summary

AG Hotels Group is seeking a Night Porter for Casa Mere Knutsford. The role involves overnight responsibilities, greeting and assisting guests, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Weekend and night shifts are required.

You will monitor the hotel, conduct security checks, handle late check-ins, assist with breakfast prep, and support the morning team with setup. A strong focus on customer service and calm professionalism is essential.

Qualifications

• Available to work weekends and night shifts.
• Hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete the night shift handover and check all important information.
• Monitor the hotel throughout the night, ensuring guest safety and security.
• Carry out regular security checks of the building, entrances, corridors and public areas.
• Assist guests with late check-ins, enquiries and requests.
• Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally.
• Manage late-night arrivals and departures, ensuring a smooth guest experience.
• Serve guests at the hotel bar and ensure excellent customer service.
• Prepare breakfast areas and assist with breakfast set-up for the morning team.
• Monitor and respond to fire alarms and other emergencies, following hotel procedures.
• Complete night audit and reception duties as required.
• Answer telephone calls and deal with guest enquiries during the night.
• Keep the reception, bar and public areas clean, tidy and presentable.
• Carry out basic cleaning duties, including corridors, the lobby and other communal areas.
• Prepare the hotel for the morning team, including breakfast preparation and set-up where required.
• Record incidents, maintenance issues and guest complaints in the handover or logbook.
• Ensure all doors and access points are secure and report any concerns immediately.
• Follow all hotel health and safety, fire safety and security procedures.
• Maintain a professional, friendly and helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
