Job summary

Care in Mind in Bromborough is recruiting a Mental Health Waking Night Support Worker, Driver, to cover part-time shifts (33 hours/wk with 22 hours available). A full UK manual driving licence is essential, and you must be able to drive the service car unsupervised.

Shifts are 8:30pm–7:30am, including weekends/bank holidays, with occasional training days. Duties include updating records, supporting wellbeing and education, incident handling, and handovers.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK driving licence (manual only).
• Ability to write basic reports and record information accurately.
• Willing to attend training during employment on weekdays.
• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Maintain professional working boundaries.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Update online care records and complete medication administration.
• Provide effective handovers to day staff.
• Assist with wellbeing, education, and daily living tasks for young people.
• Support with incident management and de-escalation of challenging behaviours.
• Ensure the home is kept tidy and welcoming for residents.
