Job summary

Haymarket Hotel is seeking a dedicated Night Manager to ensure the smooth overnight operation across Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and more. You will lead a multi-department team, maintain exceptional guest service, and safeguard the property through vigilant night-time management.

With a focus on continuous improvement, you will monitor standards, supervise staff during night hours, and drive efficient, personalized service for every guest.

Qualifications

• Previous Night Manager or Head of Department in a 5-star hotel environment.
• Excellent communication skills with guests and staff.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high standards.
• Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
• Resilient and proactive with a hands-on approach.
• Familiarity with Micros and Opera is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight hotel operations across departments to ensure seamless service.
• Act as primary liaison between guests, General Manager and operations team.
• Uphold high service standards to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Ensure overnight safety and security for guests and staff.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Respond promptly to incidents or accidents involving guests or staff.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and address guest needs professionally.
• Provide operational support across departments when needed to ensure cohesion.
• Execute the night audit process and generate nightly reports for senior management.

As a Night Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient overnight operation of the hotel. This position requires a versatile individual who can adapt to various scenarios across multiple departments, including Events, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, and the Kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel’s overnight activities, ensuring all departments operate seamlessly.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between guests, the General Manager, and the operational team.
• Continuously monitor and uphold our high service standards, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.
• Ensure the safety and security of the hotel and its guests during the night.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections to maintain compliance and safety standards.
• Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents or accidents involving guests or staff members.
• Deliver and sustain outstanding levels of customer service, addressing guest needs and concerns with professionalism.
• Provide operational support across all departments as needed, ensuring cohesive and efficient operations.
• Execute the night audit process and generate nightly reports for senior management review.

What you Need

• Previous experience as a Night Manager or Head of Department in a 5-star hotel environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.
• Exceptional attention to detail, driven by a commitment to delivering high standards.
• Strong leadership and motivational abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding the team.
• Resilient and proactive, with a strong drive to get things right the first time.
• Familiarity with Micros and Opera systems is desirable.
