Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Night Porter to welcome guests, check in late arrivals and walk-ins, and keep front-of-house areas calm and secure overnight. The role may include cleaning tasks, setting up meeting rooms and breakfast areas, and supporting safety procedures.

You’ll work independently on night shifts, providing a friendly, efficient guest experience while upholding high standards.

Responsibilities

Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
Depending on site, may include cleaning tasks in front of house, breakfast areas, and setting up meeting rooms.
You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority.
In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly.
Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
