Job summary

Mitchells & Butler's hospitality group seeks a dedicated night porter to welcome guests and ensure safety during overnight shifts. You will greet late arrivals, assist with front-of-house tasks, and support breakfast setup as needed.

You’ll work independently, demonstrating professionalism under pressure, communicating clearly, and contributing to a warm, safe environment. DBS check is typical; pension and holiday perks apply.

Qualifications

• Be the first point of contact for late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Provide a warm, friendly welcome to all guests.
• Assist with front-of-house cleaning tasks and breakfast setup as needed.
• Uphold guest and business safety and security at all times.
• Assist in emergency evacuation procedures when required.
• Respond to guest enquiries and complaints to ensure a positive stay.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
