Job summary

The Midland in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Night Porter to support the Front Office team and ensure seamless after-hours service for guests. You’ll contribute to guest experiences by handling room service, assisting with night-time housekeeping, and maintaining security and safety throughout the hotel.

You will work as part of a vibrant night team, liaising with the Night Manager and other departments to close daily operations efficiently, while upholding Leonardo Hotels’ standards of care

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel front office or night shift is beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to assist across departments during night hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the hotel and guests.
• Carry out regular Fire Walks, inspect emergency exits and firefighting equipment.
• Manage multiple room service orders in the kitchen and deliver promptly.
• Assist the Night Manager with closing the business date and preparations for the day ahead.
• Undertake basic housekeeping and maintenance tasks after hours.
