Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Night Receptionist for the Emergency Department. The role involves night shifts, 11pm–7am, 30 hours per week, with occasional extra shifts to cover reception needs.

You will register patients, update records, and refer to other departments while maintaining a calm, professional approach in a fast-paced ED environment. The job offers an NHS pension, generous leave, and access to staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
• Educated to diploma level or NVQ 3, City & Guilds certificate level in Business Administration or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive and efficient Reception service within the Emergency Department.
• Register/book in patients and update patient records using the Trust's IT system.
• Scanning of patient documentation.
• Deal with enquiries at Reception that are not ED related.
