Courtyard by Marriott Sheffield, a brand-new 150-bedroom hotel, sits between Sheffield and Rotherham. Part of RBH Hospitality Management, the property offers a gateway for corporate and leisure guests and a growing, values-led team.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or finance experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and guest-handling skills.
• Familiarity with PMS and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food & beverage sales, and other charges.
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management and resolve discrepancies.
• Check in late arrivals and provide overnight front desk support.
• Conduct regular security checks to ensure guest and property safety.
• Collaborate with front office and accounting to address issues identified during night audit.
• Prepare handover notes for the day team and record all relevant information.
• Lead nights bars and room service operations.
• Manage night team members.
• Ensure the hotel is prepared for the next day’s operations.
• Support Night Porter to keep public areas clean and up to standard.
• Be present during breakfast service and assist F&B with breakfast operations.

Job description

What you'll be doing...

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other charges
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and resolving discrepancies
• Check in late arrivals, assist guests with any inquiries, and provide overnight front desk support, ensuring a seamless guest experience
• Conduct regular security checks throughout the hotel premises to ensure guest and property safety
• Collaborate with the front office and accounting teams to address any issues identified during the night audit
• Maintain clear communication with the day team by preparing handover notes and ensuring all relevant information is recorded
• Handle any emergency situations overnight, acting as the point of contact and coordinating with necessary departments
• Lead nights bar and room service operations
• Manage night team members
• Ensure the hotel is set for the following day for a smooth operation
• Support Night Porter to ensure the hotel public areas are clean and up to standard for the next day.
• Be present during breakfast service and support the F&B team with breakfast operations
• Previous experience in hospitality or finance roles, with an understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills and the ability to handle guest enquiries professionally
• IT skills and familiarity with property management systems (PMS)
