Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management is hiring a Nights Duty Manager for our Sheffield hotel. You will balance and reconcile nightly financials, assist late arrivals and provide overnight front desk support, and perform security checks to ensure guest safety.

You'll lead the night team, coordinate with front office and accounting, prepare handover notes, and ensure the property is ready for the next day. The role offers an up-to-£15.44/hour pay rate and a 4-on-4-off pattern.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or finance roles, with an understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills and the ability to handle guest enquiries professionally
• IT skills and familiarity with property management systems (PMS)

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other charges
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and resolving discrepancies
• Check in late arrivals, assist guests with inquiries, and provide overnight front desk support
• Conduct regular security checks to ensure guest and property safety
• Collaborate with the front office and accounting teams to address night audit issues
• Prepare handover notes and ensure information is recorded for the day team
• Handle emergencies overnight, coordinating with needed departments
• Lead nights bar and room service operations
• Manage night team members
• Ensure the hotel is set for the following day
• Support Night Porter to ensure public areas are clean
• Be present during breakfast service and support the F&B team

AN EVENING IN THE LIFE OF NIGHTS DUTY MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other charges
• Prepare end-of-day financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and resolving discrepancies
• Check in late arrivals, assist guests with any inquiries, and provide overnight front desk support, ensuring a seamless guest experience
• Conduct regular security checks throughout the hotel premises to ensure guest and property safety
• Collaborate with the front office and accounting teams to address any issues identified during the night audit
• Maintain clear communication with the day team by preparing handover notes and ensuring all relevant information is recorded
• Handle any emergency situations overnight, acting as the point of contact and coordinating with necessary departments
• Lead nights bar and room service operations
• Manage night team members
• Ensure the hotel is set for the following day for a smooth operation
• Support Night Porter to ensure the hotel public areas are clean and up to standard for the next day.
• Be present during breakfast service and support the F&B team with breakfast operations.
