Delta Hotels by Marriott Waltham Abbey is seeking a dedicated Night Duty Manager to join our Front Office team. You will oversee overnight front desk operations, ensure guest safety, handle check-ins and check-outs, and maintain high service standards across a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous night shift hotel front desk experience preferred.
• Ability to manage overnight operations and handle emergencies.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day front desk operation overnight, ensuring procedures are adhered to and policies are followed.
• Lead the team on nights, ensuring guests are greeted warmly and a safe environment is maintained overnight for guests and associates.
• Ensure night audit procedures are completed and discrepancies rectified.
• Process check-ins and check-outs, arranging alternative accommodation for overbookings if needed.
• Ensure hotel and guest security through regular documented night patrols.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate team.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and log them correctly.
• Be conversant with all fire, safety and health regulations and take control in emergencies.
• Comply with hotel security and safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

Here's what your journey with us entails:

• Manage the day to day front desk operation overnight, ensuring procedures are adhered to and policies are followed
• Leading the team on nights, ensuring that our guests are greeted with a warm welcome and ensure a safe and secure environment overnight for both guests and associates
• Ensure that night audit procedures are completed and any discrepancies rectified
• Process any check-in and check-outs, arrange alternative accommodation for guests should an overbooking situation arise
• Ensure the security of the hotel and guests through regular documented patrols throughout the night
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns
• Ensure all guest complaints are resolved in a timely manner and logged correctly
• Be fully conversant with all statutory fire, legal, bomb, health and safety procedures and to take control in the event of an emergency
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to the manager
• Complete safety training and certifications
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
