Job summary

Ardoe House Hotel, set in 30 acres of countryside just minutes from Aberdeen, invites applications for a reliable Night Porter to support night operations, ensuring guest safety, security and a welcoming environment.

As part of our team you will patrol public areas, respond to guest requests and incidents, assist with late check-ins, monitor CCTV, and help with handovers between departments, all while upholding the warm Scottish hospitality we are known for.

Responsibilities

• Patrol public areas and hotel premises to maintain security and safety during night hours
• Respond promptly to guest requests, emergencies, or incidents during the night shift
• Assist with late check-ins and early check-outs, providing efficient guest service
• Perform cleaning duties in public areas including lobby, corridors, restrooms, and entrances
• Monitor and operate security systems, alarms, and CCTV cameras as required
• Handle luggage storage and transportation for arriving and departing guests
• Maintain clear and accurate logs of night activities and incidents
• Support emergency procedures and fire safety protocols as needed
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless handovers and communication
