It caters to diverse guests, from solo travellers to families and outdoor enthusiasts, and serves as an ideal base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The hotel hosts large events such as weddings and conferences and features a grand ballroom for up to 350 guests. It is also a premier destination for treatments, spa days, and wellness retreats.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Assistance: Greet guests during late hours, assist with check‑ins and check‑outs, and provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
• Security: Maintain a vigilant presence throughout the property, monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards, and respond promptly to any security concerns or emergencies following established protocols.
• Property Maintenance: Conduct regular patrols to identify and address maintenance issues such as broken fixtures or malfunctioning equipment; take appropriate action to resolve issues or raise them to the relevant department.
• Room Service: Facilitate room‑service orders for guests, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy, and coordinate with kitchen and other staff members.
• Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or disruptive behaviour, follow emergency procedures, and liaise with emergency services as necessary to ensure safety.
• Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties, including updating guest records, processing payments, and generating reports for management as required.
• Guest Relations: Foster positive relationships with guests by addressing their needs and concerns in a courteous and professional manner, anticipating their requirements, and striving to exceed expectations whenever possible.
