Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott is seeking a Night Porter to join their team on a full-time basis, delivering high standards of guest service during the night while maintaining safety and security across the premises.

The role involves welcoming guests, handling late check-ins/check-outs, monitoring security systems, and supporting emergency procedures as needed, with full training provided for hospitality operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English to interact with guests and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills to efficiently manage guest requests.
• Ability to work independently during night hours while maintaining vigilance and professionalism.
• A friendly, approachable demeanour with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a rota basis.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to hotel operations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests arriving during the night, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
• Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently while maintaining high standards of phone etiquette
• Respond promptly to guest enquiries, requests, and complaints with courtesy and professionalism
• Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to ensure safety and security
• Ensure the lobby and public areas are clean, organised, and welcoming throughout the shift
• Assist with emergency procedures if required, including fire safety protocols and evacuation procedures
