Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Night Concierge for Malachi Place in Ilford. The role is a 40-hour weekly night shift with a 10% enhancement, based at a residential service accommodating 42 people. The successful candidate will sign in/out clients, perform building checks, and help keep offices and communal areas clean to maximise occupancy and turnover.

DBS check and right to work in the UK required. Applicants with language skills for residents (e.g., Punjabi, Lithuanian) are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Front of house experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with residents with diverse languages.
• Comfortable dealing with difficult situations and maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Sign in/out clients and handle queries professionally, directing to staff when needed.
• Perform building checks, patrols, and ensure exits and doors are clear.
• Clean and prepare offices and void rooms to maximise occupancy and meet turnaround targets.

We are looking for a Night Concierge to join our team at Malachi Place. Key Responsibilities

• Offer front of house services to clients ensuring they are signed in or out where required and their
  queries are handled in a professional manner, referring them to support staff where required
• Complete building checks which may include patrols of the building and ensuring fire exits and external doors are free from obstruction
• Clean office space and communal areas on a scheduled basis and clean and prepare void rooms in order to maximise occupancy and ensure turn around targets are met

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent customer service and people management skills with ability to provide efficient front of house service
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A passion for transforming the lives of people experiencing homelessness

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory
