Job summary

The Salvation Army UK and Ireland Territory in Glasgow is seeking two Day Concierge to join Wallace of Campsie House Lifehouse, a supported accommodation service with 42 flats and 10 bedsits. The role is 35 hours per week and focuses on welcoming clients, answering queries, sign in/out, and safeguarding building safety.

Qualifications

• Motivation to support vulnerable clients to achieve positive outcomes.
• Good customer service and time management skills with ability to prioritise workload.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and visitors and assist with questions.
• Sign people in and out of the building as needed.
• Answer calls, take messages and handle post.
• Keep records up to date in log books and handover notes.
• Monitor CCTV and help ensure building safety.
• Maintain health and safety records.
• Enter/update client information on the Atlas system.
• Collect and record information for reports and statistics.
• Receive and record rent payments accurately.
• Treat everyone fairly with respect, regardless of background.
• Build positive relationships and help de‑escalate situations.
• Report maintenance and arrange emergency repairs when required.
• Attend training and supervision sessions.
• Carry out any other duties to support service delivery.

The Salvation Army provides support and emergency accommodation for homeless adults within the Glasgow Area. We are looking to recruit highly motivated Day Concierge to join our team in Wallace of Campsie House Lifehouse comprising of 42 flats and 10 bedsits

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome clients and visitors and help them with any questions.
• Sign people in and out of the building when needed.
• Answer telephone calls, take messages, and deal with post.
• Keep records up to date, including log books and handover notes.
• Monitor CCTV and help make sure the building is safe.
• Keep health and safety records up to date.
• Enter and update client information on the Atlas computer system.
• Help collect and record information for reports and statistics.
• Receive and record rent payments correctly.
• Treat everyone fairly and with respect, regardless of their background, culture, or faith.
• Build positive relationships with clients and help calm difficult situations.
• Report maintenance problems and arrange emergency repairs when needed.
• Attend training and take part in supervision and development reviews.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the service.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
