MHA in Poole is seeking a Care and Support Worker (Nights) at Maidment Court to help residents live independently, with dignity and support for daily needs. This role focuses on person-centred care, safety and wellbeing, guided by MHA values.

The position is permanent, part-time (24 hours/week) with a competitive hourly rate and opportunities for training and career progression within a values-driven organisation that prioritises resident welfare and staff support.

Formación

• Caring and respectful approach to older people.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly with residents and colleagues.
• Good listening skills and ability to follow care plans.
• Willingness to undertake training including QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
• Prior care experience is desirable but not essential; full training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Provide care to meet residents’ personal, social, emotional and practical needs.
• Act as a key worker for a group of service users and support wellbeing.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility and use of aids.
• Promote dignity, privacy, choice and independence for residents.
• Support day-to-day tasks such as housekeeping and shopping.
• Encourage participation in social activities to reduce isolation.
• Respond to calls for assistance and emergencies per scheme procedures.
• Maintain accurate records in line with confidentiality policies.
• Work with the team in meetings, training and appraisals when required.
