Job summary

MHA is seeking a Care and Support Worker (Days/Nights) at Hebron Court, Southampton. This part-time role (12 hours per week) covers days and nights, with a salary of £14.82 per hour.

You will help older residents live independently, with dignity, in a supportive environment that reflects MHA values. You will be part of a caring team, supporting personal care, daily tasks, social activities and wellbeing while maintaining confidentiality and following care plans.

Qualifications

• Caring and respectful approach to older people.
• Willingness to undertake training including QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly with residents and colleagues.
• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to meet residents' personal, social, emotional, spiritual and practical needs.
• Act as a key worker for a group of service users, supporting wellbeing and settling into the scheme.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility and use of aids following care plans and risk assessments.
• Promote residents' dignity, privacy, choice and independence at all times.
• Support with day-to-day tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, shopping and home environment management.
