Job summary

MHA is seeking caring and reliable Care and Support Workers to join the Maidment Court scheme in Poole. You will help older residents live safely and with dignity, providing person-centred care tailored to each individual. Training is provided and progression opportunities exist within our supportive team.

The role involves personal care, daily tasks, and participation in activities to promote wellbeing. A DBS check, pension and family-friendly policies are part of our rewards and development

Qualifications

• Be caring, compassionate and reliable.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly with residents and colleagues.
• Willingness to undertake training including QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care to meet residents' needs and follow care plans.
• Act as key worker for specific service users and support wellbeing.
• Assist with personal care, mobility and use of aids safely.
• Promote dignity, privacy and independence for residents.
• Support daily tasks like housekeeping and shopping as agreed.
• Encourage participation in social activities to reduce isolation.
• Respond to calls for assistance and follow scheme procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate records; participate in meetings.
