Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant – Nights at Aran Court Care Home in Birmingham. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment.

Your role includes monitoring residents’ wellbeing, supporting person-centred care plans, assisting with medication, supervising staff, and acting as a key contact for residents and families. DBS check and UK eligibility proof are required.

Qualifications

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident and updating care plans.
• Involved in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development.
• Acting as a key contact with residents, relatives and professionals and escalating concerns.
