Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Aran Court Care Home in Birmingham. You will work with the Care Team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Ideal candidates will hold NVQ 3 in care for care homes and have at least 2 years’ relevant experience, with strong communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach to meeting care needs.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ 3 in care for care homes or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring residents' wellbeing and updating care plans as needs change.
• Contributing to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Assisting residents with medication where required.
• Providing supervision and supporting staff development as needed.
• Acting as a key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals and escalating concerns.
