Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes in Worthing is seeking a Night Care Assistant for Fernbank, our residential home. You will provide high-quality personal care, support residents overnight, and promote wellbeing in a warm, family-run setting.

We offer shift options: 24 hours per week (8pm–8am, Wed and Fri) or 36 hours across a two-week cycle. Benefits include paid breaks, DBS, uniform, pension, and career training.

Qualifications

• Ideally, you'll have experience in the Healthcare sector, however we will provide you with all the training you need to be successful in the role;

Responsibilities

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents;
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing any support to the residents where necessary;
• Ensuring electronic residents' personalised interactions are inputted on the system;
• Serving food and drinks to the residents and promoting social dining experiences;
• Developing relationships with relatives to help support you in understanding their needs and developing their personal care.

We are looking for a Night Care Assistant to join our team at Fernbank, our luxurious Residential home in Worthing.

Hours: 24 hours per week - 8pm - 8am, Wednesday and Friday

or 36hrs - Week 1 - Mon, Wed and Thu and Week 2 Mon, Thu and Sun

As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents;
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing any support to the residents where necessary;
• Ensuring electronic residents' personalised interactions are inputted on the system;
• Serving food and drinks to the residents and promoting social dining experiences;
• Developing relationships with relatives to help support you in understanding their needs and developing their personal care.

• £12.84 p/h weekdays £13.48 p/h Weekends. Upon completion of probation, pay increases to £13.14 p/h Weekdays and £13.80 p/h Weekends.
