Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes in Worthing seeks a dedicated Care Assistant for the Berkeley Lodge Dementia Nursing Home. You will provide high-quality personal care, promote independence, help with meals, and support residents and their families.

Full-time, 36 hours per week, includes every other weekend. We offer on-hour pay rates, paid breaks, DBS-free uniform, subsidised meals, pension and extensive training plus career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous, with training provided.
• Kind and caring attitude with a positive approach.
• Energetic and hard-working, capable of handling physically demanding tasks.
• Team player with good communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care and social interaction for residents.
• Promote independence and enablement, supporting residents as needed.

We are looking for a Care Assistant to join our team on Days at Berkeley Lodge our specialist Dementia Nursing Home in Worthing.

Hours - Full Time - 36hrs per week - including every other weekend

As a Care Assistant You Will Be

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents;
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing any support to the residents where necessary;
• Ensuring electronic residents’ personalised interactions are inputted on the system;
• Serving food and drinks to the residents and promoting social dining experiences;
• Developing relationships with relatives to help support you in understanding their needs and developing their personal care.

More About You

• Ideally, you’ll have experience in the Healthcare sector, however we will provide you with all the training you need to be successful in the role;
