Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes in Worthing is seeking a Care Assistant for night shifts at Berkeley Lodge, our specialist Dementia Nursing Home. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week, including every other weekend, with training and development opportunities.

You will provide high-quality personal care, support independence, assist with meals, and build relationships with residents and their relatives. A compassionate, energetic, team-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Healthcare sector is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Kind and caring with a positive attitude.
• Energetic and hard-working with a can-do approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents.
• Promote independence and enablement, offering support as needed.

We are looking for a Care Assistant to join our team on Nights at Berkeley Lodge our specialist Dementia Nursing Home in Worthing.

Hours - Full Time - 36hrs per week - including every other weekend

As a Care Assistant you will be:

• Providing high quality personal care, social interaction and stimulation to residents;
• Promoting independence and enablement and providing any support to the residents where necessary;
• Ensuring electronic residents' personalised interactions are inputted on the system;
• Serving food and drinks to the residents and promoting social dining experiences;
• Developing relationships with relatives to help support you in understanding their needs and developing their personal care.

More about you:

• Ideally, you'll have experience in the Healthcare sector, however we will provide you with all the training you need to be successful in the role;
