Job summary

Novotel London Blackfriars, part of the Accor group, is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to join the front office team. You will balance guest expectations with accurate night audits and reporting, reporting to the Front Office Manager and Night Manager to ensure a smooth overnight operation.

Key responsibilities include end-of-day audits, handling night checks, producing daily financial and occupancy reports, and supporting guests with late arrivals and early departures while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Experience with Opera Cloud PMS is desirable.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-of-day financial audits, reconciling accounts and verifying transactions.
• Facilitate check-in and check-out during overnight hours with accurate room charges.
• Generate and distribute daily reports on financial transactions and occupancy.
• Act as the primary hotel representative overnight in absence of senior management.
• Assist guests during overnight hours, handling enquiries and late arrivals/early departures.
• Resolve guest concerns to achieve positive outcomes.
• Monitor safety and security systems and respond to incidents.
• Assist with night menu preparation and fulfill guest food/beverage requests.

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Night Auditor to join our team at Novotel London Blackfriars!

In this role, you will be reporting to the Front Office Manager and working under the direction of the Night Manager during overnight operations. As the hotel’s representative overnight, you will act on behalf of senior management, balancing guest expectations, colleague needs and commercial outcomes while ensuring a smooth and efficient night operation.

Success in this role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for completing accurate night audit processes and maintaining the integrity of the hotel’s financial and operational reporting.

• Conducting end-of-day financial audits, including reconciling accounts, verifying transactions and ensuring accuracy of financial records
• Facilitating check-in and check-out processes during overnight hours, ensuring accuracy of room charges, payments and guest information
• Generating and distributing daily reports summarising financial transactions, room occupancy and other relevant information for management review
• Acting as the primary hotel representative overnight, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel in the absence of senior management
• Assisting guests during overnight hours, responding to enquiries, handling reservations and supporting late-night arrivals and early departures
• Proactively resolving guest concerns, aiming for positive and mutually beneficial outcomes
• Monitoring hotel safety and security systems overnight, working alongside the hotel’s dedicated security team, responding appropriately to incidents, alarms, or emergencies and escalating issues as required
• Assisting with the preparation or service of the night menu and ensuring guest requests for food or beverages are handled efficiently

Qualifications

About you…

• Previous experience using a Property Management System (Opera Cloud desirable, but not essential)
• Exceptional customer service skills, communication and time management skills
• A friendly and warm personality with immaculate grooming and presentation
• A willingness to use initiative and strong problem solving skills
• Possess a proactive and resourceful approach with high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Salary: £31,028.40 per annum
