Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Pay & Employee Services Officer to join the busy Pay & Employee Services Department in Sheffield. You will manage end-to-end payroll tasks for a dedicated client section, including starters, changes to contracts, and leavers, with complex manual calculations and strict deadlines.

You will work with ESR and eRostering, apply NHS terms and the NHS Pension Scheme, and provide high-quality customer service to clients and employees.

Qualifications

• Experience in processing payroll end-to-end including starters, changes, and leavers.
• Ability to interpret NHS terms and conditions and the NHS Pension Scheme.
• Experience working in a busy payroll department with strict deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process a dedicated section of Payroll within ESR.
• Handle end-to-end payroll tasks for all employees in the section.
• Input confidential employee information accurately and on time.
• Act as point of contact for clients and employees on pay issues.
