Job summary

Service Care Solutions are recruiting a Payroll Officer on behalf of a housing association in Nottinghamshire to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will manage payroll and pensions systems, ensuring accurate processing in line with statutory rules.

Key duties include maintaining control accounts, reconciling payroll data, generating statutory returns and supporting audits, while handling complex queries with stakeholders across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in payroll and/or pensions administration with understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements and legislation.
• Experience with payroll/HR systems; familiarity with iTrent advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills, including reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain payroll and pensions systems, records and control accounts.
• Reconcile payroll and pension accounts, investigate discrepancies and take corrective action.
• Produce payroll data, statutory returns, financial reports and year-end documentation to support audits.
