Job summary

Rydon Maintenance Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for NHS facilities in Bristol. You will perform reactive repairs and scheduled PPMs across healthcare sites, maintain electrical systems and respond to breakdowns, with on-call duties and an 8am–5pm workday.

The role involves working on a NHS facilities management contract, with a company van provided and ongoing training to support career growth within Rydon.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of buildings, ideally NHS or contractor to NHS.
• Electrical Installations qualification and 18th edition certification required.
• Strong health and safety awareness and IT proficiency.
• Full UK manual driving licence required (max 6 points).

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive maintenance and repairs such as power and lighting faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) including emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems and related plant.
• Respond to breakdowns, fault-find, and complete small installations.
• Support general building fabric repairs and participate in on-call rota.
