Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting for a 1st/2nd line IT support role to assist NHS staff across multiple sites, covering hours 8:00am–8:00pm with an on-call rota for 24x7 coverage.

The role requires a degree in IT or equivalent experience, with knowledge of NHS systems and strong communication skills to support clinical and administrative staff across Trust sites.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level within IT field or have experience in an IT operational support role.
• Experience of using relevant NHS systems.
• Desirable: working towards professional qualification (e.g., MCSE, CompTIA A+)

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support remotely and on-site across multiple sites.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to cover 24x7 support.
• Ensure desktop and remote management of IT services to NHS staff.
