Job summary

Your World is currently recruiting for a Locum Reception/Front-of-House role in Birmingham. You will provide a professional, welcoming reception and administrative service within an NHS Trust, acting as the first point of contact for patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.

The position runs for an expected 4 months with possible extension. Hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Sunday, 8am–6pm, with a pay rate of £14.24 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in NHS/healthcare or clinical reception is preferred.
• Proficient with patient record systems and front-desk administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients and direct visitors to services.
• Respond to enquiries about appointments and clinic locations.
• Maintain a welcoming reception and accurate records.
• Handle confidential information following GDPR and Trust policies.
• Answer calls, manage messages and support clinical teams with admin tasks.
