Job summary

The NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group is seeking an enthusiastic individual to work a 13.5 hour post within a fixed pattern, supporting a 24/7 service in a busy hospital environment.

You will handle calls, manage the hospital paging system, liaise with emergency teams and NWAS, monitor gas alarms, and report lift entrapments while contributing to a supportive team. NHS terminology knowledge and ability to work under pressure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous roles in a similar environment preferred.
• Understand NHS terminology and structure.
• Experience working under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Answering calls daily and handling queries quickly and efficiently using bespoke software packages.
• Manning hospital emergency call line and liaising with emergency teams.
• Upkeep and maintenance of hospital paging system.
• Monitor and report critical gas alarms for repair.
• Report lift entrapments and liaise with those entrapped.
• Liaise with NWAS Northwest Ambulance booking service.
