Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Bicester is recruiting an NHS 111 Health Advisor to provide calm, supportive guidance over a high-volume of calls. No medical background required; you will be trained to assess needs and direct people to appropriate care with empathy and clear communication.

The role is based in Bicester (office-based only – NO remote working). You’ll complete a full 6-week NHS Pathways programme, join a team focused on patient safety, and benefit from NHS

Qualifications

• No medical experience required, but a passion to help others.
• Strong communication and listening skills essential.
• Able to stay calm under pressure and balance empathy with assertiveness.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of NHS 111 calls and provide guidance.
• Support callers through emergencies and health concerns.
• Follow training and processes to assess and advise.
• Work as part of the NHS 111 team in Bicester.
