Job summary

CLEO Systems 24 Ltd is seeking an IC24 Health Advisor to join our Peterborough team. You will be the first point of contact for NHS 111 callers, using calm conversations and guided assessment to determine the right care path.

Training and continuous coaching will support you to deliver safe, compassionate care in a high-pressure environment. All Health Advisors must be able to work at least 50% of weekends, with shifts starting early and finishing late.

Qualifications

• No prior healthcare experience required; strong communication and calm under pressure are essential.
• You will learn NHS Pathways and clinical processes during training.
• Must be able to work a 24/7 rota including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients; answer NHS 111 calls and gather information.
• Assess patient needs safely using NHS Pathways to determine appropriate outcomes.
• Direct callers to the most suitable service, from self-care to emergency services.
• Manage distressed callers with empathy while maintaining professionalism.
• Navigate multiple IT systems and record information accurately.
• Deliver high-quality care in line with standards, expectations and safety.
• Participate in training, coaching and ongoing development.
• Recognise safeguarding concerns and uphold IC24 values in every interaction.
