Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a NHS 111 Health Advisor to handle a wide range of calls and guide people through urgent health concerns. Office-based role in Bicester with full-time and part-time shift options.

You will join a 6-week NHS Pathways training programme and be part of a team delivering essential patient care, with a focus on empathy, accuracy, and clear communication in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

• Good all-round education, e.g. 2 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English, or equivalent experience
• For safeguarding reasons this role is only open to people aged over 18 years
• NHS Pathways trained is desirable
• NVQ 2/3 Customer Services or equivalent demonstrable experience is desirable
• Experience in a customer/patient services environment, dealing with the general public
• Experience of using computerised systems and using a telephone as a regular means of communication

• Handle a wide variety of calls from everyday health concerns to real emergencies
• Train with a full 6-week NHS Pathways programme
