Responsibilities

1. Play an active role in the development of the commercial litigation department.
2. Handle a caseload comprising shareholder disputes, contentious probate, building disputes, professional negligence disputes, and partnership disputes.
3. Work directly alongside the partner, contributing to the success of the team.
4. Demonstrate a passion for Commercial Litigation and possess some working knowledge of all aspects of commercial litigation.
5. Manage a mixed caseload and develop a network of contacts within the regional market.
6. Engage in business development and marketing within the local area.
7. Handle all parts of the litigation process, including disclosure, case management, drafting witness statements, and attending trials.
8. Participate in settlement negotiations, arbitration, and mediation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ideally have experience within a leading national or regional law firm.
• Have handled a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters.
• Have advised UK and international corporations, governments, and high net worth individuals.
• Be able to demonstrate proven experience in the full litigation process.
