Job summary

Adam Curtis Specialist Automotive Recruitment Consultancy Ltd in Maidstone is seeking an experienced Used Car Sales Controller, Transaction Manager or Senior Business Manager to lead a busy dealership sales team.

In this role you’ll structure and close deals, drive performance and ensure a first-class customer experience, while coordinating a team of six Sales Executives and aiming to exceed monthly targets.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of automotive sales and deal structuring.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and profit targets.
• Confident in leading and motivating a sales team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Commercial, target-driven mindset with strong organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate a team of 6 Sales Executives.

• Structure, stacking and managing vehicle deals to maximise opportunities.
• Support Sales Executives throughout the customer journey, from enquiry through to handover.
• Monitor leads, enquiries, conversions and sales activity.
• Help maintain strong FCA and dealership compliance.
• Support management with reporting, forecasting and stock performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales performance and profitability.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and showroom presentation.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, motivated sales environment.

We’re looking for an experienced Used Car Sales Controller, Transaction Manager or Senior Business Manager to join a successful and busy dealership in the Maidstone area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who knows the motor trade inside out, enjoys working at pace and has the drive to get the very best from a sales team.

Working alongside 6 Sales Executives, you’ll be right at the heart of the action — helping to structure and close deals, drive performance, maximise profitability and make sure every customer receives a first-class experience.

The Role

As Sales Controller, you’ll play a key part in the day-to-day running and performance of the used car sales department. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, supporting and motivating a team of 6 Sales Executives
• Helping the team achieve and exceed monthly sales and profit targets

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an established automotive sales professional with a strong understanding of the dealership environment.

You’ll ideally have previous experience as a:

• Sales Controller
• Transaction Manager
• Senior Business Manager
• Experienced Business Manager ready for the next step

You’ll need:

• Strong knowledge of automotive sales and deal structuring
• A proven track record of achieving sales and profit targets
• The confidence to support and motivate a sales team
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• A commercial, target-driven approach
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• A genuine focus on delivering an excellent customer experience
• A full UK Driving Licence
