New Business Development Director - Global Events Agency

Location: Surrey / Hybrid

Superb opportunity for a new business Director to join a truly global agency delivering cutting-edge experiences, events, and exhibitions for high-profile clients!

The agency

This full-service events and communications agency works with well-known global brands, mainly in healthcare and pharma, to deliver a range of events and experiences. From large-scale congresses for thousands to standalone meetings for 500 delegates, with logistically complex elements, they operate worldwide in fantastic destinations. Growing steadily, they are hiring a New Business Development Director to support their ongoing growth strategy.

The role

A highly autonomous yet collaborative position, responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities to drive revenue and enhance the agency's global brand presence. The role involves full sales cycle management: unearthing leads, prospecting, qualifying opportunities, presenting credentials, responding to RFPs, leading pitches, and securing contracts. It requires working with internal and external stakeholders, preparing winning pitch responses, and some travel to events to engage new contacts.

About you

A proven background in new business development within events, exhibitions, and production industries is essential. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical or Life Sciences events/communications sector is a plus but not mandatory. Experience managing the entire sales cycle, networking at industry events, and securing new business for an agency are key requirements.
