The agency
This full-service events and communications agency works with well-known global brands, mainly in healthcare and pharma, to deliver a range of events and experiences. From large-scale congresses for thousands to standalone meetings for 500 delegates, with logistically complex elements, they operate worldwide in fantastic destinations. As they continue to grow, they are hiring a New Business Development Director to support their ongoing expansion.
The role
A highly autonomous yet collaborative role, responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities to increase revenue and enhance the agency's global brand presence. This full-cycle sales role involves unearthing leads, prospecting, qualifying opportunities, presenting credentials, responding to RFPs, leading pitch processes, and securing contracts. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and preparing winning pitch responses. Some travel to events to engage new contacts may be involved.
About you
A proven background in new business development within the events, exhibitions, and production industry is essential. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical or Life Sciences events/communications sector is a plus but not mandatory. Experience managing the entire sales cycle, networking at industry events, and securing new business for an agency are key requirements.
