The role

We’re seeking a motivated New Business Account Executive with a background in Motor Trade Insurance (general Commercial considered) to join Jensten Motor Trade, part of the Jensten Group.

We are a leading provider of specialist, exclusive, and cost-effective insurance products to the Motor trade. Our focus is on providing a “better service” by handling business in-house, without outsourcing.

Reporting to the Director and working closely with our dedicated Account Handlers, you’ll be based in the Midlands, working remotely except when visiting prospect clients.

The main purpose is to drive new business and grow a client portfolio in the Midlands. You will receive leads and generate some independently, while also managing occasional existing clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Presenting insurance solutions and securing renewals or new business.
  • Communicating regularly with colleagues and managers to improve team performance.
  • Identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities and developing new ways to increase quote volume.
  • Achieving or exceeding sales targets from all marketing sources.
  • Understanding client operations, risks, and risk management approaches.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulations such as FCA.

About you

You should be someone who enjoys building relationships and has a natural flair for sales. You’ll be able to connect easily, visit clients, and communicate effectively, with a passion for providing solutions and spotting opportunities to benefit clients.

Requirements include:

  • Experience in Commercial Insurance
  • Passion for new business development
  • Experience generating new business (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong telephone manner and networking skills
  • Drive to learn and develop in Insurance and sales
  • Experience working with insurers and clients
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Full UK Driving Licence for client visits
