Job summary

JS Legal Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to support the new build department. The role offers a friendly culture, modern offices and exposure to high-quality property work.

You will handle instructions from clients, liaise with developers, solicitors and lenders, and assist in exchanges, completions and pre-contract searches, all within a deadline-driven team environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of residential property experience in a reputable law firm.
• Knowledge of new build is desirable.
• Strong IT skills and ability to use a case management system.
• Able to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication across developers, solicitors, lenders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to fee earners.
• Communicate daily with onsite sales negotiators to identify targeted exchanges.
• Take instructions from clients.
• Raise client enquiries with solicitors for developers.
• Carry out electronic ID checks, OS2 and bankruptcy searches.
• Issue contracts and handle related sale or part exchange enquiries.
• Support in exchanging contracts and completion transactions.
• Assist with pre-contract searches for local authority proposals, leases, easements, covenants, mortgages, floods or subsidence.
