University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Specialty Co-ordinator to support the Neurology Team at St Richard's Hospital and possibly WGH on a two-year fixed-term full-time contract.

The role focuses on providing a full administrative service, acting as the first point of contact for clinical teams and patients, and ensuring outpatient activity is coordinated in line with RTT targets.

Competenze

• GCSEs C or above in English and Maths and/or equivalent level of knowledge & experience.
• RSA Stage III Typing or equivalent
• Level 3/4 vocational qualification or equivalent
• Essential skills outlined in person spec
• Ability to build and maintain effective team relationships, Flexibility and adaptability, Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and empathy
• Specific requirements outlined in person spec

Mansioni

• Be versatile and adaptable to the demands of the Neurology team and work without supervision.
• Assist the Neurology Consultants with administration and clerical duties relating to the day to day running of the department, including dealing with complex queries, recording of data, delivering training to new members of staff.
• Manage and prioritise own workload and to be able to work independently.
• Type complex documents.
• Provide advice and assistance to patients, dealing with them in a sensitive, diplomatic and confidential manner.
• Monitor clinic slot utilisation and pathway validation in line with RTT standards.
• Maintain up to date knowledge and working practices of the patient access policy.
• Act as a point of contact for clinical staff and patient enquiries to the department.
• Use the patient administration system and patient management system and all appropriate aspects of Microsoft Office for updating and extracting patient information on a daily basis.
