Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust in Welwyn is seeking a motivated Health Care Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team on the Danesbury Neurological Centre rehabilitation unit. The role is Band 2/3 CSW, with progression to Band 3 after completing the required competencies and care certificate.

Qualifications

• Care certificate completed or in progress.
• Ability to perform personal care tasks (bathing, toileting, dressing, meals).
• Willingness to progress to Band 3 CSW competencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: bathing, toileting, dressing, meals, and daily living activities.
• Keep patient bed spaces clean, safe, and items within reach.
• Follow Trust policies on infection control and safety; stay focused.
• Record basic clinical data (fluid balance, nutrition, vitals) in notes.
• Encourage independence; maintain equipment and report faults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver care.
