Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust is seeking a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant for Danesbury Neurological Centre in Welwyn. The role is part-time 23 hours per week, primarily on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with day or night shifts, supporting nursing and therapy staff to provide safe, high-quality care.

The post offers development opportunities, including progression to Band 3 CSW after completing Care Certificate and competencies.

Qualificações

• Undertake personal care duties including bathing, toileting, dressing, meals and daily living activities.
• Contribute to patient record keeping and observations as part of the care team.
• Commitment to health and safety and infection control procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake personal care duties including bathing, toileting, dressing, supporting with meals, and assisting patients with activities of daily living.
• Ensure the patient’s bed space is clean, tidy, safe, and essential items are within reach.
• Deliver care in line with Trust policies, infection prevention, and health and safety guidelines.
• Record basic clinical information such as fluid balance, nutrition, height, weight, and observations.
• Work with multidisciplinary team to support patient independence and self-care.
