Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Health Care Assistant on Swift Ward. The role requires experience at Band 2/3 with competency in clinical observations and the ability to organise day-to-day tasks within an agreed work plan.

You will work alongside registered and unregistered practitioners, supporting health and social care professionals and guiding Band 2 staff when required, under ongoing supervision, training and NVQ development.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 qualification required.
• Some experience as a Band 2 HCA.
• Ability to recognise and reflect on barriers to effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under monitored supervision.
• Assist in coordinating care for a caseload including mental health and learning disability cases.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver care per plan and pathways.
• Report concerns and maintain accurate written records for supervision.
