Job summary

Active Neuro in Birmingham is seeking a Quality Learning & Development Nurse to drive clinical quality, education and governance across our neuro service. The role combines clinical leadership with workforce development, enabling evidence-based practice and safer care for adults.

Working under the Service Director and with the Learning & Development team, you will deliver training, lead local quality initiatives, support preceptorship and ensure compliance with national guidance while

Qualifications

• Current NMC pin registration and eligibility to practise in the UK.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Experience in neurological care, including tracheostomies, spinal patients and complex cases.
• Knowledge/experience in Motor Neurone Disease or neurology.
• Ability to demonstrate clinical effectiveness and use of evidence-based practice.
• Experience guiding education and competency development.

Responsibilities

• Undertake rostered clinical shifts weekly in the clinical area.
• Act as a visible clinical leader and role model.
• Coach colleagues in evidence-based neurorehabilitation practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement through direct observation of care.
• Lead and support local quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Support induction of new clinical staff and delivery of mandatory training.
• Participate in governance meetings and review incidents.
• Promote continuous learning across the multidisciplinary team.
